About Us

Spanning an area from Lake Superior to the Quebec border, and from north of Algonquin Park to the James Bay coast, the Northeastern region consists of eight school boards as well as the North Eastern Ontario School Authorities. Boards in the region average 32 schools each, and an average enrolment of 8,960 students per board. Boards and authorities in the region face similar challenges to those in other locations in the province, however the geographic area represents a significant challenge unique to the region.

Our Vision

To leverage the collaborative strength of the NorthEastern OntarioEducation Network in supporting a culture that places data informed decision-making at the forefront of instructional practice.

  • Foster the use of data at the classroom, school and board levels in alignment with board and Ministry initiatives.
  • Promote privacy and information management of staff and student data in everyday practice.
  • Support and encourage the use of research within schools to increase student achievement.
  • Provide a venue that supports the sharing of best practices and resources between member boards and authorities.
  • Continued collaboration on data management requirements to support boards and authorities' needs for effective and accurate analysis activities.
